Join the fun on St George’s day
Patriotic residents and traders are being invited to join in
Bromsgrove’s civic St George’s day celebrations this month.
All the usual celebrations, including a brass band, performances
from NEW College students and arts workshops, will take place
outside the Post Office on Bromsgrove High Street on Saturday April
21st from 12.00pm – 5.00pm under and around red and white marquees,
weather permitting.
And shopkeepers and market traders are again being encouraged to
dress up their shop windows and stalls, with the Civic Head of
Bromsgrove District Council Cllr Caroline Spencer set to present a
small trophy to the best of the bunch. Will Clinton Cards scoop the
prize for two years running?
Civic Head of Bromsgrove District Council Cllr Caroline Spencer
said: “The St George’s day celebrations in Bromsgrove are always a
fun opportunity for residents young and old to show some pride. In
the past we have been lucky with the weather and hope it is just as
good for this years celebrations. Come on down and have fun
celebrating our national day.”
